Mamas Pizza first opened in 1969 on Rosedale Street, across from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas. The company added 10 stores and 14 franchises in the 1980's.
Founder Frank Farkas passed away in 1985 and left the operation to his son, Chris, who firmly established Mama's as the high-quality pizza company it is today. In 2003, Chris passed; the company is now operated by Jordan Scott, Chris' Godson.
